Welcome to the Bright Star. The pub is now under new ownership with Betty Darling becoming the new landlady.

With over 20 years of experience in the pub trade Betty brings a vast amount of new fresh ideas on how the pub will be run. Betty wants to see the Pub become family oriented and welcoming to children as well as adults. One example of this is that there will be a comprehensive childrens menu even on Sunday lunches as she believes paying full price for a child's Sunday roast is wrong.

There is going to be a wide variety of homemade burgers with a speciality burger each week.Handcut real chips will be available with every meal.

She intends to have frequent changes of menu to reflect the seasons.

In terms of events there will be a large screen TV in the Marquee for the world cup with beer promotions running for all the matches.

Wimbledon fortnight will see strawberries, cream and champagne promotions.

For all you wine drinkers there will be an offer on house wine, when you buy two glasses you will get the rest of the bottle for free.

Finally there will be a Monday night promotion where if you buy one full priced meal you will get the second one for half price.
